newbie question

I was just wondering what a stock 13b-REW will handle as far as boost from a moderate single turbo setup (GT35, R85). Let me know your thoughts on this.

Well the stock motor will handle 30 psi, but the stock injectors are way to small to handle it, and the stock exhaust ports are a little small to spool a turbo big enough to be effecient at 30 psi. But basically, I'd say about 18-20 psi is where reliability starts to go down the drain...and you need some SERIOUS mods. However, I don't give a **** about reliability...I'll rebuild every other year to have a 1.3 liter motor put out 600wrhp at 26 psi ; )

Why don't you tell us how much power you're looking to make?
It's just ludicrous to just ask how much boost the motor can handle, cause it makes you look like an ignorant boost junkie.
Do you wanna just brag how much boost your engine can handle?
That's just too F&F for me...

Depends on if you do it yourself, and what all needs replacing. About $1200 in seals and $100 lapping the side housings, plus labor. The is the cheapest. Start replacing rotors and rotor housings and the price goes way up.

Well, i don't want to brag and i am not much of a boost junkie, so I guess I am looking for between 400 and 450 rwhp. As far as my motor being stock, it is exactly that. I have a PFC, 3" midpipe/downpipe, racing beat cat back, greddy pully kit, RE-Amemiya intake filter. It put down 293 rwhp on the stock twins at 11.5 psi. I will have some extra cash this winter so i want to go single turbo but i am pretty much just looking for what other people are running and what kind of power they are making with what they have.

Yeah I know, i figure with the proper tuning and fueling, I can put ~15-17 psi on the stock motor with a moderate single setup.
