If your not looking to change out your fuel system, get the Apexi ballbearing. Very nice unit and spools almost as fast as the stock twins do.

Not everyone has the expertise needed 2 put together a kit for yourself. Buying a kit is a whole lot easier and you get all the r&r that goes into making that kit. You also have someone to blame should something not fit or work right..

only problem with T78 and PFC is tuning. if you get an XS kit you can get them to tune your PFC. if you go with any of the big turbos you should go with haltech to run it.....

How much RWHP are you looking for? What type of spooling times do you need?

well unless you get a boost controll kit or a upgraded map( i heard xs dosent do it any more)
you can only run 17.5 psi, wich knocks u outs the real power area for the bigger turbos,. id prob vote t04s. apex seems real nice..but dont blow your engine..it will cost u a arm and a leg to replace turbo sisnce u cant re-build it....to4s .it was what i was gonna go with when i was lookin for arround 450...

.but im goin t-78 prob

400-450 HP at the flywheel?

if so the stock twins will do the job, you just need other stuff:
intake
exhuast
intercooler
tuneable efi system
15psi boost

i m assuming he meant RWHP.

honestly, i have seen better HP results from a T04S than T-78. better top end power and quicker spooling. with good tuning, you should easily see 440-450 RWHP with a T04S and porter motor at 17.5 PSI.

If you get a GM 3 bar MAP sensor for ~$60 and some kinda boost control then you are not limited to 17.5 psi according to XS.
-Jedon

ps. That's if you have XS tune it with PowerExcel of course...
