new to the turbo world
new to the turbo world
I have an '85 with turbo. The car will not stay running. If I warm up the car and stay at a normal RPM, the car will run out of gas! If I rev up the engine to 6 on the boost guage, the car dies, and will not start until I disconnect the battery. The car has 98,000 miles on it, engine has 8,000 miles on it with turbo. I bought it for a steal, and I also have a 12A that I know pretty well. 13B fuel injection plus turbo has me lost.
Known information:
The air flow meter reads low resistance, all the way around.
Fuel injectors are working, seals are not leaking.
If you need more information, I will try to find out for you.
I appreciate whatever help you can offer me.

If you have to disconnect the battery to get it started, I would say something to do with the factory ECU. I assume you still have the factory ECU since you say it has an airflow meter....
