New Setup next month.

New Setup next month.
Well I blew my motor last month so I am having BNR rebuild it with a Race Port and 8.6 compression TII rotors in it. I would just like to share my new setup with everyone to see any comments or suggestions that you may have about it.
BNR Race Ported motor with 8.6 compression rotors *
Greddy T78
Apex'i PFC *
550cc primaries and 1600cc secondaries w/ fuel rail
SX FPR
Gredy Profec B
3" Exhaust *
HKS SSQ BOV
Blitz FMIC *
BNR Stage 3 Clutch *
RB lightweight steel flywheel *
HKS Twin Power Ignition
and some DEFI gauges
I would like to hear any comments or suggestions about this setup. I already have the parts with * by them. Also at 15psi with proper tuning, what kind of numbers can I expect to put down. What are other members with similar setups pushing?
Thanks,
Scott

Anyone have any more ideas or suggestions before I order? Next year will be the rear end mods. I am going with the M2 trailing arms and toe links, KAAZ LSD, 4.33 gears, 300mm axles, Mazdaspeed PPF, and then I want to change my stock fuel tank out for a pair of 5 gallon fuel cells with one being a high pressure tank with 110 octane for higher boost and the other for daily driving. Should I go with -6 lines or -10? I have been reading all the posts on fuel systems lately and I think my fuel system will be a little weak for higher boost so I may put my 850's into my primaries.

Scott,
That is almost the identical setup I run and I love it. That should put you in the 425-450 RWHP range depending on tuning.

Well I just want to make sure that I get all that I need when I order. I know I will need more later on but for now I would just like to get my car running again with my new motor and turbo kit. Also, I am going to be installing a GM 3bar map sensor as well to allow for higher boost once my car is tuned at 15psi for my daily driving, then I want to have a setup for high boost for track racing as well. I won't ever run more than 15psi on the street and I would like to have a higher horsepower setup for the track. That is why I went with the lower compression rotors to help for higher boost. How much boost is too much boost? I was planning on 22psi for track use. Is that too much or could I go even more? I will hardly ever do that but I would like to put down some good numbers while at the track. I am running ET streets and I plan on snapping some axles next spring. So it will be a mod after mod affair next year. Then as long as my motor holds together then all will be well. But if it pops then I will have to rebuild it even stronger next time. Who knows, I love it though. Scott

You're still new to this Scott.15 psi on a T78 equipped RX7 is dangerous on the street.
As far as how much boost is too much.No boost is too much as long as it's tuned.

I am still used to my GSX where 15psi was nothing. I run 14psi now with the twins. I know 15psi is alot but for what I do it will be fine. I only drive this car for streetracing anyways. I will drive it to work every now and then but I try and depend on the beater for that kind of ****. My FD goes out on Friday and Saturday nights to see what's out there so 15psi should be enough to scare me but hopefully not kill me.
I will mostly be able to see how it is once I get it but for now that is my intention, unless it is just unreal to me how fast it is. We'll see.
On my GSX I would run 18psi all the time with high boost being around 26psi or so. I know FD's are a bit more critical but I play it safe. I never adjust boost without the proper tuning, I learned that the hard way with my Eclipse when I turned the high boost dial up some and never paid any attention to it and my engine knocked so hard it killed itself at 33+ psi when I wasn't watching and tuned for it.
Thanks, Scott

Just curious...
How much horsepower do you expect to get out of this setup?
I would really appreciate it if some of you guys could help me figure out what I need to do with my car.
I would like to get it in the 9s by spring.
Currently the car is streetported with the stock twins.
Ideas?
