NEW GT35R Setup from the RX-7store

The guys at RX-7 store installed the GT35r, Fuel Rail, Fuel Injectors, Geddy FMIC, Clutch, Flywheel and more. The service is great, and Jason was even nice enough to hook me up with a nice hotel to stay at. You guys should see the Evo Jason is rocking. Daaaam

I have not been able to boost much, or get heavy on the pedal yet due to the clutch needing break in. I am headed back over thier on friday so they can dyno tune it. I want to have 2 boost settings, and im not real sure how much boost I should be wanting to run. Any advise? Im sure they will know.

Anyhow sorry about the bad pics. The car was dirty from having to drive home 4hrs in a bad storm.

Win the lottery? Holy **** batman there goes some $$. I'm also looking at the gt35r, why did you choose this over a t04 or something else? What is your hook for this car, track, street or daily driver. btw looks great!

I use my car on the street, and I only drive it on weekends ussually. I liked the GT35r cause of the quick spool up, and Jason said it was the way to go.

Here is the story with the bike. I bought the new Honda CRF250R 4stroke 250 dirtbike, and I had a lot of problems with it. I went to trade it in on an 05 KX250, but then I relized that dirtbikes loose their value way to quick, and that im better off buying a used one. I went to the bike shop, and I say this GSXR, and it was over I had to have it. I love the colors. TurboR1 I like your taste. I was planning on getting a lift in the winter time, and getting them painted white. I am heading out to ohio here in about an hour to get my car tuned. When I get back Ill post my Dyno.

Thanks guys

Mike,
Did the FPR we sent you fix the problem?

I just got an 05 GSXR 750 a couple months back.

One nice thing about our GT35R kit is if you are running the Greddy FMIC for the stock twins then all you need is a 90 degree elbow for it to work with the turbo. No hacking or cutting pipes.

We have not tried it with the airpump, but it looks like it should. You would need to route the intercooler piping different.

Its tuff to say I guess it has a lot to do with how crazy you are. I bet the car would put up a fight though.

Hey nice car and setup!! Did you drop off your car to get tuned? (when will it be ready?), or did they tune it that day while you were there and if so how is it after getting it tuned?

Did the FPR they sent you fix the problem?

How quick is the spool up compared to the stock twins?

I tuned the car on Friday and it put down 348 HP on our Mustang Dyno. Changing out the FPR fixed the problem.

I remember seeing a video of Jason's old FD beating up on a CBR929 on the highway. I actually have that video sitting around on my hard drive somewhere. That was incredible to see!!

Back on topic, congrats on your dyno numbers. I'm sure now that it's tuned it should be a blast to drive!!

Dam I have been driving the car all weekend. This car rocks it gets full boost around 3800rpm, and just pulls. I like it much better then the stock twins. My only problem now is keeping my foot out of it. gas is getting pricey

Awesome. So you get full boost by 3800..... that is 15lbs right? I thought that the GT35 would throw down more than 348rwhp at that boost? Is there more improvments to be done?

i dont think i've seen a gt35r get over 400hp to the wheels... 350 sounds about right for pumpgas and such, i guess depending on the tuning...

That was on a Mustang Dyno which reads lower than a dynojet. Cars is around 380 RWHP on a stock motor with no porting.

What boost would need to make 400 rwhp and what octane can you get away with running? Mfanto, do you have any better pics of your car?... looks good so far.
