crispeed 02-18-06 05:14 PM

Eric
Are those scales calibrated for altitude. I remember reading somewhere that the force of gravity is different depending on height and that might impact the results you got on the scales. Then again the helium balloon might have made it all equal.:)

It was only a matter of time before someone threw that in :uh:

^ Yep ;)

Keep it clean, when I visit I dont want to read page after page of hate, doubt & plain garbage, if I want that I will simply search under my own user name.

Congrats on the power and weight of your car, dynapack is one of the most repeatable & accurate dyno's you will ever see *we have one at our work*. That power is great, should be very happy with that ;)

At least this one did not turn into a pissing match like the last 600+ hp one I posted. This one was based on high altitude scale calibration and helium balloon's effect on gravity. :) At least the guilty until proven innocent person was cleared of all wrong doings in the Single Turbo High Court section.
I'm getting ready to post another high hp one. Let's see if that one will get pass the dyno sharp shooters this time. :)
BTW. Peter you should visit here more often. Since you been MIA all these new keyboard envy technicans/ engineers/racers/turbo and dyno evaluaters etc. have popped up like the lates strand of STD's.
The latest trend is no longer to appreciate someone's good work and try and learn from their success but to adopt the 'If I can't do it then no one else can' mentality. The funniest part is that all these so called critics have not even experience the success or results of the said person they are quick to shoot down but they called themselves experts.

razorback 02-19-06 03:42 PM

for the record i pm'd lupe apologizing and wished him luck.

Lets see that sheet :icon16:

On the dynapacks in this country they in general read about 30 or so bhp higher than rwhp on a dyno dynamics, since they are bolted to the hubs and there is therefore less resistance. I'm presuming you had approx 630 bhp at the hubs?

Dude, I have no idea what you're talking about........ The only number I can go by is what the dyno read which was 603whp.

Any track times yet from you or Ernie T? I currious :D

KevinK2 05-08-06 12:54 AM

near limits of possibe power?

On my ss, I get 600 eng hp at 27.5 , 65F, and 6800 rpm. 100%VE, 75%CE, and 90% IE. And no presure drop losses at intake or intercooler. For 100%VE, need a big turbine with exh back pressure about same as boost pressure at hp peak.

600 rwhp?? 13B or 20B? NO2?

I believe it, just need more of the how.

My car will be done in a couple weeks. I'll be making some shakedown passes locally then I'll start racing as soon as I get some seat time.

I'm only at 603whp.. People are making around 1,000 whp with the 13B so no I'm not at the limits of my 13B.

I'm not spraying.

Not yet, I just got removing a ton of weight from my car this weekend. I need to put the interior back together tommorow and then I'll only have a few small things to hook up and then I'll be at the track.

jacobcartmill 05-10-06 04:29 AM

sweet. take some more video!

I thought the 2 rotor record was 850rwhp. I have yet to see 1000whp out of a 13b. Got some info?

Dee is making upwards of 900 to the ground. I'm pretty sure Abel hit 1,000 whp in his old 3rd gen.

dhahlen 05-10-06 05:17 PM

My goal is eventually 700hp, I'll have to do bridge before that. After I hit the 700hp mark, then I'll pickup a 3rotor from a friend in Japan. I suppose being in the military has it's benefits.

No need for a bridge port to hit 700rwhp! :)

It's time to move on. This project has been very stressful and the car literally scares me, so much that I can't enjoy it.

I guess I'm getting old :wallbash:

My fd has been sitting for a bit now, i just dont have the time for it anymore. I'll be selling mine after I throw in a badass engine and paint job. I think i'll be picking up a new GTO, they look nice and they are reliable.

It's okay Eric...you can call it a race car now. Try it it's fun...

my car scares me, and it really is a street car...emissions, PS, and AC. Absolutely no need to have a car that fast on the street. As much as this pains me...I like the NA rotary feel the vert has. I think its getting close to -1 turbo +1 rotor...-lots of power and strange noises that scare other drivers, and make girls giggle.

Well, my accord doesn't pass emmisions, has no A/C / power Steering and is loud....

It must be a race car too :rlaugh:
