I pretty much know what is entailed in backhalfing your car, but could one of you guys just clarifiy it for the rest of us? What exactly is backhalfing?

Also, it seems that most people have a race-shop do this work, what is a ballpark price range for getting a T2 backhalfed?

I'm not gonna do it, just want to know what I'm looking at

ok, I am getting a 3/4ths chassis done to my car, and what that entails is that 3/4ths of the cars stock chassis (frame suspention ect...ect...) will be removed and replaced with either square frame material or tube (everyone uses tube) The 3/4ths chassis job is started from the very front of the cockpit to the rear of the car and the complete rear suspetion is redone with usually 4 links or ladder bars to fit BIG tires into the body of the car and increase traction with even more adjustable suspention tuning. So it is actually like having three quaters of your car being a turbo frame car. but you must install new floorboards and a new tranny housing This method saves weight over the backhalf cause the heavy stock material is replaced with either chromoly or steel tubing(mine is gonne be chromoly). The BACKHALF, is slightly different and costs less that the 3/4ths job but the weight loss is not as great as the 3/4ths. The backhalf started behind the seats of our cars and extends to the rear of the car with tube steel or chromoly. Once again the suspention is usually a 4 link or a ladder bar and once again BIG tires are installed.

It basic terms, The backhalf is work to your frame/chassis so you can get big tires and better drag racing suspention into the car.

yep there still around, there just wholesale only now
so they took there retail website down.

there a better cheaper intake
it's a 4 barrel holly like fuel injection plate that holds 4 injectors
or can be customized for more
all you need is a turbo hat $65-115
$265 (it's not the holly pro-jection) I think it's by jay-tech too

here's my friends 1st gen with this set up

this full street car is going to be a force to be watched for
when its tuned right
just finished installing the Haltech and is being tuned

The 4bbl throttle body is made by ACCEL! It flows 750cfm in stock form and is designed to hold four injectors. It comes with everything needed to bolt up like rails, lines etc.
There are other versions of the throttle body available also from ACCEL.
