New ACT 6 puck with single set up.

This could probably go in 3rd gen specific but since my only real concern is big HP guys and drag racing I put it here.

First I just put in a new 6 puck act unsprung w/ stock flywheel. WOW!! SOOO much better feeling than my SPEC 3+ sprung w/8.5lbs flywheel. I was very concerend with how the engagement was going to be but it is actually WAY better than the sprung spec. MAy have been due to the light FW?

Now, is the break in 500 easy miles on this one as well? If I drove the car often it would not be a question, but 500 miles is 6 months for me.

How is this clutch? Do you like it for stop and go traffic? Can you slip the clutch or is it like a switch, on and off?

Hey Mikey, I just got my new ACT 6-puck sprung disc as well. The clutch disc I've had in my car since Aug 1999 has finally worn out and started to slip. It's the unsprung ACT 6-puck they had back in the day. Can't wait to put this disc in!!!!

Cool Brian.. Why did you go sprung? As the question above you can slip it so I do not see the need for the sprung except maybe taking a little impact ofs the driveline??

I got it because that's all RP had and I really wanted it that day. It was only $25 more than the un-sprung. The sprung is apparently easier to engage but albeit a heavier plate so it'll be a bit heavier on the foot.
