need some help with MSD setup

i just installed my 93 motor in my 90 T2 , i have a haltech E6a. Before i was not useing any MSD boxs i was using all factory mazda ignitors. now i have changed the setup to use 3 6a msd boxs. i wired it up according to the diagram but i dont get any spark. the question i have is when i have the key on am i suppose to get power coming out, to the postive of the coil (the orange wire). i have power going to the box and the switch wire, my ground is good and i get a signal going in.

No.Be careful.
Also it has a ton of signal and you can burn any test stuff up BTW.I had same issue but I had a J&S that wasnt connected. I called MSD and the service tech actually owns several RX7's. The signal executes upon an "off" signal.I forgot how it was stated. Its not as I thought. It sounds like a signal issue if the boxes have power.
Sorry I dont have more.

Are you connecting the MSD's directly to the Haltech? Note that the MSD triggers on the rising edge of the "points" signal, while the factory igniters trigger on the falling edge.

Also, the MSD has a 47 ohm pullup resistor inside, which may be too much of a load for the Haltech to trigger. May have blown the Haltech output transistors.

Best bet is to reinstall the factory igniters, and have them trigger the MSD's.

The MSD is not going to blow the ignition output of the Haltech. What will is using a test light to check for power.
Sounds like you have a 12v switched ignition sorce problem. The small red wire on the msd's must have power when the key is in the on position.
The small white wire is the trigger wire and gets the signal from either the factory igniters or directly from the Haltech ignition output. The igniton setup on the Haltech would have to be configured differently depnding on the use of an igniter or direct triggering the msd's.
The orange and black wires are the only two wires conected to the coils.
