Need Cool Air Intake Ideas???
The attached thread gives you real world examples of what cool air does to performance.

I think all the single turbo guys have done well at cooling things down with vented hoods, big ICs, big radiators, water injection, etc.
I think we should try come come up with some good ideas on forced cold air induction into the inlet of the single turbo.
I have not seen anything on that.
Thanx for any examples or ideas.

Have you seen this cold air? https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...light=cold+air
THere needs to be more actual proven testing of a set up with cold air and one with out, before I would go crazy with it. Heres my theory, if it is cooler outside, the air is more dense with more oxygen and thats what makes more power.
But in theory, if you take something cold and heat it up, it will react faster and heat up faster then somehting that is the same tempature. For example, when you fill your coffee maker with cold water, it will heat up faster and it will be hotter than using warm or hot water to start.
Because the engine is turbocharged or running relative higher boost, I think a cold air intake may have little benefits, because the turbocharger is going to compress the cold air and make it hotter more quickly than if it was sucking in regular air.
If you get a good intercooler and even a co2 sprayer, you wont even need a cold air system because the intercooler will cool down the air going into the motor far more then a CAI.
I would like to see some before and after dyno testing to see if theres any benifets to a true cold air system.
It's not to easy on the fd because you would almost have to cut a hole somewhere to get room to fit anything in.
Try it out and see it it makes a difference ,I almost did.
