hi, guys, i have been seraching for hrs, trying to get some answers but couldn't really get all the answers i need, it's should be simple for some of u;

1. is Greddy = Mitsubishi and HKS = Garrett?

2. whic turbo is dual cooled and which is oil cooled only? (i know GTxxR series are all dual cooled, wat about GT4088, 60-1, T78, T04R, T04Z)

3. wat's the difference between devided and undevided turbine outlet?

4. if i remove the rat nest, do i have alot to setup on my PFC in order to get the car running?

5. does all single turbo conversion need to have the mug pump removed?

6. how do u guys pass air-care with the mug pump removed?

7. do those SS turbo manifold crack easily?

When the turbo has an "R" at the end of it that means it's water cooled. A divided turbine housing provides a faster spool up time. If you're going single turbo you have to remove the rats nest. Honestly, once you go single turbo it gets much better. The air pump is normally taken out. I don't live in California so I've never dealt with the strict emission standards. A poorly welded or thought out manifold will crack regardless of the material. If it's properly braced and has nice thicker flanges you'll be alright...

It is possible to pass emissions when single turbo. Chuck Westbrook does it. You will have to get a bunch of tuning done to your PFC no matter what. And yes Greddy uses Mitsu turbos and just about everybody else uses Garrett or some turbonetics

thx for the info, so is greddy uses Mitsu turbo and HKS uses Garret, are u saying they're different companies and they just buy turbo from Mitsu or Garret and stamp their name on it? so ppl can just go buy a Garret turbo or Mitsu turbo instead of buying HKS or Greddy?

ok, now most questions's sorted out, but however, i just wanna confirm that the air-pump doesn't have to br remove unless it's in the way where the turbo is sitting, right? cus i see pictures of these big T78, T88 turbo installed right at where the air-pump is. and also does nayone know which turbo is dual cooled and instead o fjust oil-cool, cus i think dual cooled is better and doesn't require to turbo time the car as long, correct me if i am wrong.
