My V-Band is leaking
Ok, seems like a simple problem, I hope there is a simple solution.
When I got my car back from the shop, the V-Band was leaking under the hood. I tightened it up the other day and it looked like the leak was sealed (I couldn't see anymore exaust rising up). Today I went out to start the car, and when I did, it looked like it was leaking again, but after the pipe warmed up a bit, I couldn't see it anymore. I also understand that just because I can't see it at the moment doesn't mean that there might not still be a leak.
Is there anything that I can use to try and for a better seal between the exaust housing and the downpipe? Or am I just going to have to live with it or get a new one?

Thanks for the info guys, the turbo shop that welded up the V-Band said the same thing about the exhaust cement. Can I just get that at Canadian Tire? What exactly is it? Will it be hard to remove if I ever need to separate the DP and the Turbo?
moehler, I will definetly keep that stuff in mind. Did you trace the flange size with the turbo still in the engine bay or did you have to take it out?

My turo blew a month ago and when I removed it, the gasket didn't even look burnt after 2k miles. It's good stuff.

I have used the exhaust paste/cement before and it does work. Its just a paste that you smear on the gasket or flanges. It like rtv for exhaust gaskets. You will be able to remove the components. Its not really "cement". This still will be the cheapest and easiet fix to try first.
