My stockport 401 HP pull *vid*

Made 401.15 on my stockport 10th AE. The number required 20 PSI to make, so its pretty apparent those motors dont flow very well. VMount setup was done by Ryan Shook, and tuning was done by Trevor.

Well, thats the unofficial name as of now, but thats probably going to be the official name.

The first two pulls were 385, those were street trim pulls. the 400 was on 100 octane.

Did you trap 124mph on 100 octane or 93? I'm gonna run a ported S5 engine with a bigger turbo and hopefully a little less weight than your setup, I'm just trying to gauge what I MIGHT be able to run.

I was pleased because I wasnt sure I was going to hit the 400 mark. That motor is about out of available power.

I need ports.. BAD.

Not bad. Yea you should definately see a big difference when you port the engine and run the 61 at 20psi. Hell my small 57mm T04E made 380whp at 1 bar with a ported motor on pump gas. Good job.

i kept thinking those numbers were so low, but i haven't done anything with stock ports in a while. t61 is ballpark the same as a gt35r, and lots of guys hit 400whp @ 15-16 psi or so.

i'm definately not knocking you, please don't take it that way. but i'd go over the setup and just give everything a once over if it's taking that much boost on that turbo to make that power. it might be an indication that something might not be right.

what were the afr's and egt's like?

but in any case, good job on the power

Oh, I am sure its the ports. The S4 motor has very small porting. I think the timing is a little off too on the retarded side. We are writing a new map now. Afrs were low 11s high 10s..

I have personally not found any differences in the two types of motors everything else being equal up to about 600 rwhp. The porting is not to blame. Now if you said intake manifold differences then I would agree.

wow way to go jrat! nice too see you hit the 400 mark! Have you run a compression test reasantly? I know you've been run the crap out of that motor and it's probably not as healthy as it could be. Maybe the reason for the slightly lower numbers? However really you gotta figure that porting can give you what 15-20% more hp so thats around 480rwhp at the same psi witch should be about right for that turbo also the higher compression from the rebuilt motor should yeild more hp as well. You guys can correct me if I'm wrong

crispeed: you've seen cars pushing 600rwhp on stock ports with a t61?? I would figure maybe that much on a t66 but I think that's just a bit too optamistic for a t61 but thats just me.

Agreed. I've seen a hair of 468rwhp twice on stock FC blocks running 60-1 turbos @ 14.5psi.

No
What I'm saying from my experience all things being eqaul stock vs stock or ported vs ported the difference in size of the port runners does not make a difference up to about 570 to 600hp. The intake manifold/TB is where the major difference would be. My 1st 600hp 13b was a S-4 TII but that was with a custom intake not the factory one. The same setup on a series 6/FD did not make any difference in power at the same boost and porting configuration.
