BC My slow *** single build thread. Will it ever be done?

I purchased this car back in August after selling my Skyline, but never really got to drive it due to a busted clutch... and well after that I started tearing it apart getting it ready for a single turbo.

It's been sitting idle, in my garage for a few months, and today I started working at it again.

Yesterday was spent cleaning my disgusting garage. It was sick, .... strewn all over the place.. so it needed some help. I hadn't really touched anything since November because I'm a ***** and don't like the cold (yes I know Vancouver doesn't REALLY get cold but keep it to yourself ).

Today, I just finished stripping the block down. I took off the ignition system, fuel rails/injectors, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, "rats nest" sequential system and tons of little things.

Basically it's down to the block now. Tomorrow will be spent cleaning the block and installing new oil injector lines and cleaning all the parts that will end up back on the car (UIM/LIM, fuel rails, ignition).

Here are a few pics.

Giant box-o-parts

Another box-o-parts

As for what I'm doing with the build. Here are the plans. It's going to be done in stages, just so I get it back on the road soon.

For starters:
Single turbo kit:
-HKS manifold
-Holset HX35 or T04E 60 trim both would have a .84 divided T4 housing
-Tial 44mm gate + screamer
-3'' D/P

Fuel:
-550cc stock primary injectors
-1300cc RC secondary (cleaned and flowed)
-Full AN in the engine bay
-HKS FPR
-Supra Denso fuel pump
-Aeromotive in-line filter

Electrics
-PFC or Microtech (haven't decided yet)
-Prosport 3 gauge dash mount pod.
-Defi Racer gauge in white, boost, oil temp
-Innovate LC1 wideband

That's round one. I will have a base tune written so I can start driving it around

Things that will come eventually.
V-mount IC with KOYO rad
ZEAL FunctionX coilovers.
Rear roll bar
Recaro SPG seat
Delrin bushings
Diff brace
17x9 Enkei RPF1 w/255 all round
+odds and ends to clean up the interior (possible tan to black swap if I find the pieces)

Once I deal with the cooling side of things (larger IC and the KOYO) I will head back to the dyno to run the car up to about 1 BAR (15psi) With this setup I'm expecting around 400whp

updates will come as I work on the car and get stuff done. it will be slow for now until I sell my Mini... then things will start to roll.
later.

Haha... it's been partly the cold partly the fact I have not extra $$ to throw around right now. Once I sell my Mini things should start rolling along nicely.

It makes me sad sitting there... I go and stare at it everyday .

Don't be discouraged about what you still want for the car, instead be thankful for what you've accomplished so far and don't give up. Take your time, while you're waiting for the money to buy parts, you can clean, polish and do your homework on what you will need to meet your goals. This would be a great time for you to relocate your battery, replace old wiring, freshen the interior, change the fluids, etc. I'm redoing everything on my FD and it's been a long process for me as well.

Ya it's going to be done in stages. Like when I get the coin for the fuel system, I will put it all together, then when I have the money for the turbo/manifold.. put that on etc. Until it's all there.

Hopefully It will be together in March. I am trying to pinch my pennies and not buy stuff I don't need and eat out less so I have more money for parts.

I'm super stoked about what I've done so far, I got to the point where I had the turbos and UIM off and looking at the rats nest and LIM I lost motivation because it looked like a lot of work.

But yesterday I just went at it and tore it all out. I was a lot easier to remove since I'm not putting it back in. The only frustrating part was getting of the actuator thing on the bottom of the manifold so I could remove the heat shield to take off the manifold. But other than that it was alright.

Anyways, I just picked up some carpet for my garage. Should keep it a bit warmer and it will be nice to lie on carpet instead of concrete. All free from craigslist. And since there's no fluids in the car, I don't have to worry about drips/leaks on it which is nice.

we will see. I'll start with 550/1300 and if need be put 850's in the primary rail.
