My single turbo questions GT4088

Hi guys,

Need some advice on going single turbo from twins

So I'll explain, the bits I have ready to go on but i have a concern. I will need to be able to drive the car home 15miles after on the base map having fitted the turbo due to me working on the car somewhere else

I have the following

GT4088 turbo*
Long runner manifold*
50mm wastegate with 1bar spring
4" downpipe*
Intercooler V mount setup with rad
1680 injectors with KG rail
Walbro 440

Currently installed
Automotive FPR with SS fuel lines*
large street port
Apexi PFC with Base map
4" exhaust with decat mating to 3"DP

So I'm planning to do the following
1) install the Vmount and rad

2) Install the walbro pump intank and wire direct 12v*

3) Install Turbo and down pipe, change plugs, oil and filter

Will it be ok on the base map if I put a light spring in the WG and take it easy so I can drive it home?

4) then I plan to install the kg rail and 1680 injectors at home and get my mapper to come over and map it...*

Your advice would be much appericated...*

what kind of restrictor should I be running on a gt4088 journal bearing?*

I hear those perforated gaskets are rubbish for the exhaust manifold, what would you recommend?*

Thanks guys*

Should be ok to drive, just don't boost it. I use stock exhaust manifold gasket, they work the best. Not sure about the restrictor for the turbo oil feed.

Thanks buddy

Don't plan to boot it at all, just an off boost journey back home..

What about installing my 1680 injectors and rail?

Is it a bad idea to fit them, max out the secondary setting on the PFC and make one journey under 4k?

installing the bigger injectors you would have to make changes in the pfc to start the car and i'm not sure about the driveability, so i wouldn't do it if you can tune the car.

Ok so what if I set the PFC to max (1600) just for one trip?
