here's another rendition of the heatshield. i used SS and have a fiberglass/aluminum backing on it and think it works great.

Great job everything is nicely placed! I like that shield for the LIM as well; can you make me one too?

I'm going down to ATP Wrap next week to take a look at getting my turbo fitted with an inconel cover. The stainless shield was useless and the blanket keeps too much heat in. I might get a cover made for the LIM as well.

I should still have the pattern i make it out of aluminum and use dei adhesive heat shield on the back i belive its good to 2000 deg. I had to do an inner shield to cover front lim front runner. You have to trim to fit, the car has 2500 miles since build and a few street races and a couple 10.80 runs. The ss piping is a scavenging system to pull crank case pressure from the motor at high boost. It uses a one way check valve and as the ehaust increses it pulls crank pressure and oil particals. It works but on a hard pull it will smoke like hell and scare the crap out of you! Ill probley go with catch can. On the last data log while dynoing over 400 h/p i logged a 5 deg temp rise in intake air temp. Thanks !

haha, yeah the bunnies are around. you just have to hunt carefully. and i guess i should crank the boost, and blow the engine so i have an excuse to go w/ the solid mounts while it's out.

i'd also like to place on order for the heat shield. or a lesson on how to trim it out. and do you still have the 10.5 ET streets? im gonna shoot for some OT pay, and try and get some more goodies for christmas. and maybe more fuel before the tune.

also, can you explain the scavenging system?

I think the reason nobody has made in comments on your second gen is because they don't know what the hell they're looking at !!!

Both cars look awesome, Charlie! I had no idea you had a second gen as well. What is the big pulley dealy to the bottom left of the charger?

I keep meaning to get a hold of you per your pm. I haven't forgotten, just busy.

Thats a alternator pulley oversized for high rpm! At one time i was going to drive it on the street but on methanol its about good for 5 miles. LOL I made alot of bad choices when i started building it. I would like to see it done sometime. Thanks
