i have a perfect opertunity to get my hands on a 56 trim turbo. the only bad side is that the oil seal on the back side of the turbo went out.
what i was thinking of doing is taking the compressor housing off of it and throwing it on my s5 turbo. is it possible?
what do you guys think?

the turbo`s seal is gone man ,...let it go

 

no im saying the front seal is good still. so im able to take the front side and mate it to my hot side.
but it is capuble

 

hhhmm i am not to shure ive heard of people tearing turbos apart and later they fail because of balance problems, personaly i would not tear it apart if i dont have the proper equipment,
thats what youre talking about right ,(taking the wheels off)

like i said :I wouldnt feel comfortable, i`ve seen turbos blow up litterally, so i dont like to mix and mach or fiddle to much with them ,...just boost them
