i did not expect so many responses!! ia m going to try and answer everyones questions so this is going to be along post!!

can you explain a little deeper as to how twins do this? i know vinny ten went from a single to twins, and now he's back to a single again. he says his big single flows more cfm at lower boost than his twins.
Vinney does not the exhaust energy that we do and cannot spool large enough twins to make the difference my compressor wheels are bigger than the ones hw was trying to use, anothe issue i have is that to run a large enough single to make the numbers at boost level i prefer i would have a hard time getting it to spool fast enough for a pro light. remember i am auto matic and can spool anything but it takes time.

YES, i feel that twins are the NEW secret for rotaries as long as you can fit them, we make enough energy to spool pretty much anything and since backpressure is our common enemy , twins all but eliminate it.

I'm sorry, I must have worded my question wrong. I meant to ask how is it possible to have more boost pressure than exhaust pressure? I can see how you could get close to having the same pressure (in the exhaust manifold and after the turbos outlet on the compressor) but just don't see how it's possible to have less pressure in the exhaust manifold than after the turbo I understand the back pressure comment and how more will cause less hp and more detonation.
think of it this way: your turbo cannot pressurize the air on the outside of the car can it? so eventually it has to go back to atmospheric! so it IS controllable through the exhaust.

i have been plsying around with BP ratios for a while now and for some reason on a piston engine the ratio is not so delicate but on a Bridge Ported rotary BP is the key to making power. i hope that you meant 3:1 with the intake side being 3 because i will tell you that while experimenting with Turbine housings i ran 30 psi and ended up with 45 on the BP side!!!! the car ran like **** and made more power at 20 psi and dropped a full second ( 10.40), when i dropped the boost back down to where it had a 1:1 ratio (20 psi) the car went back to the 9.40's. remember pressure,volume and velocity are all different. you CAN have less back PRESSURE and more velocity and still spool the turbo with no problems.
i will have more pics next week after i get my electric water pump installed and the charge pipes done. the radiator sits right in front of the dr side tire. i am expectig full spool by 5k. here is apic of the old setup with the radiator:

here are a few pics of a street FD that i just finished installing twin hybrids, i have to do the fuel system this coming week and then i should have some figures power wise after that.

Hey...one thing i never understood was that their is no filter on the turbos..their just left open......and did you get all that space in the street one by removing the stock air box ?

the car does no t see much time on the streets during the week so we only put the filters on whenever he plans on doing some distance driving. the last setup i did lost 12 h.p. just by using filters!!!! teh airbox and IC take up most of hte space under the hood.

Marcus you are a MADMAN.......is the setup you wrote me about. I've seen a pic of a 1 st gen with twin Hybrids, that were stacked almost on top of each other, and i've heard that there are setups for the FC as well. Hope to see you this next season. it'll have to be Gainesville, since i now moved.

What numbers is he making and how quick is the spool on those...? Also, Have you thought about making a kit and marketing it..?

i am having issues with the haltech and its secondary injector drivers so i have not gotten any figures on h.p. but i will say that it spools quicker than aT78 and makes full boost by 3800, i have not been able to rev over 6k but up to that point it is insane!!

i ripped the other one apart... i think my TB is larger than yours and my plenum is also larger ( i think, it is hard to tell by pics)

HELL YEAH!!! i am amazed at how much beating you can do on the engine and nothing gets hurt as long as you run enough premix ( i siezed the first engine due to lack of lubrication!!!) pretty much just watch the EGTs and hold on!! during my liscense passes i would just turn the BC up 5% each pass until i got where i wanted to be, a few times i ran around 2.7 bar on accident but nothing got hurt!! i am hooked on methanol for sure

as far as making a twin turbo kit???? NOWAY!! it is a royal pain in the *** and unless someone wants to shell out 7k for a kit and ship the car to me i am not going to do it

well today i got it back running and was able to get it to make full boost on the trans brake. it builds boost fast and by 5000 it was at full boost but by 6k it was crankin!! my stall convertor flashed to over 6780 and i let go of the button before it went any higher and it felt like it was going!!! what this means to me is that it is making more torque, since convertors are built around certain torque figures. it is supposed to stall at 5500 with 550 ft/lbs of torque so my convertor sponser tells me that it is making around 660 ft/lbs of to torque!! another good thing is that at 20 psi of boost i am only getting 14 psi of Backpressure!! here is a pick of the complete system. i will go to the dyno saturday or monday to make sure it will make it all the way down the track
