"You honestly don't know what the hell you're talking about"

funny you say that because you havent seen my manifold at all, just the part where they welded the t3 flange on the t4 one.

you can ask anyone in my area to come look at it and a OBX one, and tell me their not the same. Identical, except for the t3 flange they welded on...exactly the same.

also, you don't need to be so rude.

thanks

hey ben whats up, just a question for ya when did bistate get a jig for building manifolds and what are they charging. Id half to agree with setzep though, if they didnt make the transition smooth form the t4 to the t3 on the inside your gonna have some nice turbulance there. Just addin my $.02 worth.

Yes. They are identical in design, but not built at the same shop. Bistate welds them. They may not have in the beginning (Whenever these manifolds came out) but I know they do now. Like I said before, I've seen the manifold on several applications and none have cracked or had any issues. I don't know about the T3 flange though... I have a TO4 so I didn't need a different flange.

Best of luck though, I hope everything works and you DON'T have any problems!

ok, if bi state does all the welding to their own manifolds, what explains them welding on a t3 flange on top of a t4 flange?

Like I said I don't know the deal with that... But I've watched them weld the manifolds. They have a jig. And a jig for a downpipe as well. Maybe some of the manifolds were bought assembled, I dunno. That would explain the T3 on top of the T4. I'm not trying to argue, or say you aren't right... I was just trying to let you know that you should be fine with that manifold. You seemed worried that it's an OBX and I was just trying to reassure you that it's not. I'm done though. Believe me, don't believe me. Makes no difference.. Maybe you can call them and see if they will cut the flange off and weld just the T3 on there. These guys have 1500 HP Turbo mustangs all over the place. All custom built from the floor up. They've done a billion turbo applications on all kinds of cars.. My guess is that they know what they are doing. Ron is an incredible fabricator... You should see some of the stuff he has done. If I'm wrong, then my bad. I'm just speaking from what I've seen.. I just think you should try it out before worrying about it too much.

seems like you're doing more of the worrying, Im going to use it, see how it does, and post a update, good or bad. wouldnt you wonder about a product that looks exactly the same as a $100 ebay manifold?

also heres a PM I got from Resource when I was ordering the kit...

"Comes with polished turbo,jet-hot coated manifold"

didnt come polished or jet coated..

can ask a mod to look in my PMs if you wish

and I can take plenty pics of it so you can see neither is done
