Its nice to see someone do so much work themselves. Nice work! How long did all that polishing take you?

I bought the turbo and manifold from bi-state customs, they said its their own manifold and jet hot coated, but its really the ebay OBX....some mistake I made buying from them.

That manifold won't crack. And it's not OBX. It's the same design, but not the same manufacturer. Don't be mad at bi-state...

it is the OBX, I have other friends with the OBX, its the same one, if it was different they wouldnt have needed to weld on a T3 flange

and what can you say about it being jet hot coated like they say it is? I've had plenty parts that were coated, this is deffinetly not coated.

I have the same manifold and it ISN'T OBX. The design was sold to a few different companies and made from there... Yes the OBX ones from what I heard are ****. I've seen the Bi-state manifold on 5 cars with no failures.

The reason you needed the T3 flange welded on is because the manifold (And unwelded sets) are only sold with a T4 flange.

Not trying to argue.. Just trying to defend Bi-State. If I'm wrong, and you did get a OBX, I stand corrected. For a while, they were the only company making the manifold. It will have the OBX name plate welded on though if it is.

I wouldn't worry though. If you do have any problems, Bi-State should work with you... I don't see why they wouldn't.

PS: Your motor looks very nice. Good luck with it!

When they welded on the T3 flange did they transition it well into the T4 flange or just slap it on there?

I mean on the inside, does it look like the flow will transition well into the smaller T3 flange? Thanks for the pic though

turbo came bolted on to it, and I sent it along with my car to R&R shortly after so I havent seen it myself, but they took it apart and said it needed some work, going to take a dremel to it I guess.

Nice setup, you spent the whole year polishing them thar stuff Looking really good. My only technical observation.....though......is the exhaust ports, you removed the sleeves (and I know your train of thought) they are now extremely huge, will be a bit too large for street purposes if that is the intended use. Port velocity will be low which will ultimately affect the onset of boost, it is going to be laggy, but possibly, and I say possibly (because of the turbo you are using).....it should give you the numbers up top, if you can get to that RPM and keep it together.
Good luck though keep us updated.

In bi-state's defense as well, it's NOT the OBX manifold. They custom altered an Apexi manifold for me, and have SEEN them welding one of those manifolds on a jig. You honestly don't know what the hell you're talking about. Additionally, the OBX is stamped in a number of places. Look at yours more closely.
