The manifold was done locally by friends using PRO-E software. I will take pics of it for you.

Well got the car finished yesterday. It runs like a beast at only 14psi. I need to adjust the settings on the PROFECB spec 2 bad. It hits 14psi by 4500 rpms in 1st gear. I havent really ran through the gears yet until it gets tuned more.

You have any pics? Marco from Magnus Motorsports builds a manifold thats similar to what your describing. Its divided, equal length, and uses dual 38mm Tial's. Its all 16 gauge 321SS with 1/2" 321ss flanges!!! Real damn nice. I think he asks about $800 for them.

Here are some pics i tried to take of one in the car.... One is on the work bench with no W/G flanges on it. The other is the finished project ( check out the phatty v-band on the I/C pipe). Let me know if you are interested we can make more of these manifold's way cheaper than $800.

Well what happened there was frame of the turbo was getting close to the frame of the car. So we cut out the rounded piece of the frame and welded in a flat thick piece of steel. I am going to repaint the engine bay so that will be covered up soon.

Speaking from experience you better do two things. Brace the turbo and put in something to limit engine movement. You are sitting to close to the side under full throttle with that turbo you will run the chance of snapping the manifold. I've seen it done.

What grade materials are you guys using? How thick are the pipe walls and flanges? What inside diameter main and wg runners are you using?

I'm not positive if the Magnus manifold is $800, its been a while since I talked to him about the price. I THINK it was around $800 but I'm not positive.

I am using very stiff motor mounts in the car, the motor moves very little. How would I snap the manifold because its sitting to close to the side again?

What exactly would you consider to be adequate bracing for the turbo??

Zero R is affraid that the engine movement may result in the turbo being pressed against the inside of the strut tower under throtle applications, there for resulting in the mainfold either being bent or broken.

Stiffer engine mounts alone will not eliminate engine movement. All you really need to do is install a torque brace and you shouldn't have any problems, even if it just barely clears everything as it sounds like it does.

Movement or not I would think that it would need to be braced regardless because that huge heavy turbo is putting alot of stress on the upper weldes of the exhaust runners that are welded to the flange.
