sounds good
but have you ever looked into the bullseye borg warner S256?
from what i have read it spools quicker, has a broader RPM range, and a cheaper price
and if you choose to buy the racing cover as well, you gain like 50whp or something
i could be wrong though

check paradiseracing.com

i have been wanting to see the results with this turbo personally.

S256 is more similar to a GT3071. S362 is closer to a GT35.

They cost less than Garrett, but are only available in journal bearing. They tend to spool slower, but make slightly more power in the high end and can support higher boost pressure efficiently. Its really a matter of preference. I like to use BB turbos for quicker spool, but if you go twin scroll the difference isnt as noticeable.

The race cover he is talking about means slightly slower spool but more power at lower boost pressures. Any Bullseye/BW dealer can get you one with the turbo.

idk about them spooling slower..
i've seen some dyno results where a s480 (80mm turbo) and a gt42r (74 mm turbo) were compaired. The gt42r had a smaller turbine wheel than the s480.
not only did the s480 make a bunch more power, but it made the power sooner.
I guess its because of the "extended tip technology"

i'll have to look for that dyno comparison.

The debate still goes on whether the turbos are better or not. From firsthand experience, they are slower spooling. Some of the comparisons Ive seen arent very logical, comparing a smaller BW to a larger Garrett. Ive seen a couple cases where spool was similar though, and it did impress me.

Extended tip technology is proving to be good, but Ive seen some Precision turbos that will spool quicker and outpower the BW units. Thats the route I prefer to use.

Ratjar, if you need info on BW turbos let me know, I know those turbos fairly well.

I agree totally, I too have had them run side by side, and apples to apples they are not quicker than BB unit's. Certainly don't have the transient response. Bullseye marketing loves to mismatch them on comparisons.

I like some of precisions stuff, we will be running a 76mm billet on a 3RZ here shortly, using a TiAL rear. Should be fun.

as you can see my initial plan was to do a gt35r, so all the parts are based around the turbo. so if there is something in the same category as far as how much the turbo demands from the fuel/air and whatever else have you that beats the gt35r id go for it. I just don't want to change my ENTIRE plan. I would love some more info on their "version" of the gt35r

Their version is the S362. Its a nice turbo, just sold one last week actually. Definitely slower response than a 35R, but instead of costing $1500-1600 you can get one for about $1300. The BW turbos are nice, but I think theyre better used in a situation where you need to run lots of boost(35+ psi) to make power.

Zero, the 76mm billet will be a beast. Their 71mm is awesome enough already.

Hope so we want four digit hp so between that and all the other goodies it should be capable.

OP 35R is nice in T4 frame, if your staying under 20psi it is hard to beat.

with a 35r, if you play all your cards right you can see 500rwhp.
