Yes......

Nothing fancy..

No studkit, no special e-shaft, no special anything...

Race bearing=yes
A few extra dowels=yes

Thats it...

No, thats not correct. If you have ever opened a Cosmo re block and looked at the Stock primary ports, you would notice that they are very small...smaller than all the other 13B turbo engines.. Lee matched the Cosmo Re port to S5 TII spec.. that is it.. nothing fancy at all.. Nothing else was touched on those Cosmo RE plates.. He is even running the same rotor housings he had on his previous S5 TII motor

Go to the main thread listing specs and pics and you will see for yourself...

Here is a pic of his setup..VERY BASIC

So basically stock ports, stock E shaft, 35psi, no nitrous, water to air intercooler and over 750HP! Lee is the man! I'm just glad it was done on a 1 piece Eshaft!

Seems like a setup that should make around 650HP, do you guys think it was the turbo that gave it the 100+ extra HP? For every 10 degrees you drop your intake temps, you get like 3% more power, maybe the intercooler?

AND he has it on SAE, if he puts that badboy to Standard he's in the 790/800 range on C16! What was the STD number since most dyno charts on here show STD (including myself) for that little extra :)

He will post the video and Dyno sheet soon and we we all know.. I do know he backed the 769 RWHP dyno pull up with another 750RWHP pull.. The 750RWHP pull was done after he lowered the boost to 30PSI... actually 33PSI as it boost creeped past the 30SPI setting a little bit..

Props! Very nice numbers!

dean23 04-12-08 11:40 PM

water to air i/c.. bet that was a pretty penny....

eriksseven 04-12-08 11:44 PM

 Craziness... Especially the 'nearly' stock-porting part.

What about the exhaust ports? Were they opened up? Early? Late?

rotorholic 04-13-08 12:39 AM

No. All ports are stock, exhaust and intake. Like Japan2al, all he did was match the primary port to a stock TII. That's it.

Marcel Burkett 04-13-08 11:08 AM

Anthony

The turbo definately helped alot, the intake air temps were in the 50-60 degree range so very helpful indeed.
