How do you know they foul out very easily? Have you ever used them?

Go look at my earlier post in this thread. Ari Yallon. www.RX7.com 9 second drag car. shop in business since 1988. The man knows his stuff.

500rwhp on 9s, nope. at that power level you are on race gas and higher boost levels (def above 1 bar) and race plugs are pretty much required. They may not last as long, but a few old sayings come to mind:

----You can't have your cake and eat it too.
----If you want to play, you've got to pay.
----A stitch in time saves nine, or (the rotary version) 100 bucks in preventative maintenance now will save you a $5,000 blown motor later.

Take shortcuts in this game and you will be a very unhappy broke guy. My two cents .

Make you a deal,.. You share your timing and quit being stingy, and we'll tell you which ones to use. Orr, keep your timing a secret and ask your tuner for this "top secret" info. Sorry but after reading how selfish/protective you are about your timing ( regardless of what the competition in Fla. reads on the boards) I kinda find it funny that you are asking this board where the "spys" are for help in this crucial area of tuning.

But to be nice, I recommend the 10.5. Soo now what's your timing fool! J/K

Which plugs did you end up using for the dyno runs? I think i missed that part in the thread.

Heheh LOL

I used B10EGV's
$4.40 each
and worked like a champ

read my dyno thread
I posted "most" of the timming used and split

It may or may not work on your car
some cars like a bit more some like less

When I had a Haltech I used HitMans timming map
and all I got was ignition problems!
till the engine went boom

What works in Aus may not work in the US
which was my case with the Haltech/HitMan conbo

^^ Yeah i know ! I was just giving you **** about the secrecy. I did see the update about the timing. Just haveing fun

And yeah anyone who thinks that your maps will make them the same HP or be anywhere safe is being foolish. It would probably be a great "starting point" but that's it, every engine is different. Even if it is in the same car but just rebuilt. something will be a little different. So more fine tuning is needed.

http://rx7.com/store/rx7/fdignition.htm

rx7.com says, "use 9's in all 4 on hot street applications". so how hot is hot (hp/boost)?
