I have a 87 13b-T, and my clutch pedal is funky it sticks reallly bad and sometimes it doesn't even spring back the guy I bought it from before says that he replaced the slave cylinder so I don't know if I need a master cylinder or if it's something with the pedal spring, I think my tranny is whack because I don't even have to depress the clutch to start it( so I think I got screwed with the car) looks pretty nice but the thing is so damn hard to drive because the guy had oversized injectors so I have to flood the engine if it doesn't crank at first plus the idle is extremely weak so it makes things worse. And because that clutch is funky evrything else is just made worse. And my 3rd gear and reverse grind like a bitch because of that clutch and I think I'm doin serious damge to the car if i drive it like this this was supposed to go to SCCA this summer with my bros. FC but right now it's goin nowhere what the heck do I do
1st, check fluid level. If the level gets low it acts as you described. Refill and bled the system. If it continues to do this, your master is shot. It can leak fluid inside the car and you wont know till you pull the carpet back. You can get master cheap, or even cheaper a rebuild kit for it, though I recommend just a full replecement. As for your tranny, its common for high mileage FC's to have the syncros go bad and grinding to occur. After you get your clutch straight and grinding continues in 3rd gear switch to a high quality synthetic gear oil in the tranny. If this doesn't cure it, only fix left is tranny rebuild or get a used one. As for your reverse, before going to reverse gear stick it in 2nd gear first. So, car is in neutral, stick shifter in 2nd, then pop over to reverse. If it has too musc resistance and feels like if you force it it will grind, go to first, then second, then reverse quickly and it should not grind. Lastly, if theres over sized injectors in there and the car is otherwise stock, replace those with stock ones. If you find your self stuck somewere and the car flooded while trying to start it, open the hood and pull the EGI fuse. Then crank the engine over a few times, then replace the fuse and start the car. WELCOME to the world of a old *** cars (most old cars have querks).

thanks mike i'll look into it crassfc3s told me how to flood it but it's just a bitch to do. not used to these complications so i'm a little stressed my sil80 runs like a champ and it was constructed from a 94 RPs13 so it's lil younger than this FC but oh well My brother's runs incredibly well for an 89 so I assumed that I wouldn't have these issues but he warned me of the problems before hand.
No one called u a scemartist just giving a honest buyer's critique and review and basically ur car was worth about 2500 for a good shell with no rust but doode face it u were running 10 lbs of boost on a completely stock motor knowing that rotary has a history of bad episodes. *** the intake and injectors those mods aren't sufficient enough to retain reliability onan enigne older than I am

not knockin the car it looks really well maintained on the outside for and 87 and the deal is done so i have to deal with it now but rest assured that this car is gonna clean up pretty damn nice
dude i know more about rotarys than you know about yourself, you need to stop ******* bashing me. continue to talk **** and were gonna have a ****** problem anything thats going on with that car was addressed in my pms which are all saved you just dont know as much about cars as you think you do.

ok guy u r ur own problem don't *** with me through a forum *** u have no idea who I am or what I'm about and I can give a fukin opinion that's y God gave us voices and that big thing in ur skull called a brain it's not bashing u it's what I think so quit gettin defensive I own the car now and I'll do what I want to it and say what I want about it . And i never said i was an automotive guru if that were the case then i wouldn't be asking these silly question now would I. relax before u hurt urself. and if u know so much than y don't u quit wasting ur time trying to prove that u know so much to some one such as myself who could care less what u know and go make use of that knowledge.

i do make use of that knowledge and i making a living off of it, and yes you are bashing me because youre saying im a liar which gives me a bad name on here when i can have plenty of people vouch for me and that car.
