My build thread....

It is almost becoming an everyday thing now where people are posting their build threads and their 500 horsepower cars. Since now is the best time, here is my build. I currently have an 87 second gen. base model, the SE. It is the 4 lug model with the phone dial wheels. I am shooting for the 500 whp mark. This project started when my quest for speed grew. It has been a work in progress for the past 4 years. I pulled out a perfectly good smooth running N/A motor and tranny then swapped a very low mileage J-Spec into my car, just the engine and transmission. I built a driveshaft to go from the TII tranny to the N/A rear end. This engine took a beating like no other, but as everybody knows everthing must come to an end whether it is good or bad. The recent TII swap took a dive when it started burning antifreeze. I called the company I bought it from and it was a too bad so sad situation. They wouldnt honor the warrenty, owell. Yet again, I pulled out this supposed very low mileage J-spec for a completly stock rebuild. When I tore the engine down I found that is was a very low mileage J-spec. Then engine was recently rebuild by somebody else and they had pinched a coolant seal also damaging the water jacket. The housings themselves had probably <5000 miles. The reason I say this is because the apex seals spec't out a .001-.002 smaller than brand new. Very little wear. Little by little as I was saving money for this rebuild, (I had been only working part time jobs since I was in high school then college during this time) I had accumulated a couple of "bolt ons." These "bolt ons" grew. I bought a PNP Megasquirt (which may change to a Power FC), Holset H2E, full stainless fuel system, full bridge port, lapped irons, 1600cc secondaries, 890cc primaries, FMIC, devils own water injection, 50hp shot of N2O, MSD 6a (this again will change to a better version of MSD boxes), spec stage III clutch, tial 40mm gate, a custom exhaust mani built by 12:31 motorsports, and so many more mods to list. My car is quite dirty so look past that, but when I am done I will post better pics. I give until the end of Sept. when I estimate I will be done. I have several more things to order to get it running. I will get better and more updated pictures very soon. Now for pics...Thought I had more recent and better in photobucket, but they must be on my now junk computer.

I havent had much for time lately to really get a lot accomplished but I did decide to go ahead and order a T04 manifold from Teddy at 12:31 Motorsports. Other than that, I got my wire harness done, radiator and ford taurus E-Fan installed, the cold side of the intercooler piping just about done and my fuel system all installed except for the Aero pump. I am running 2 1680cc Marren and 2 890cc Marren injectors along with devils own water injection. Here are some pictures.....

The E-fan was $120, I also went and bought an adjustable thermostat, I made my own mounting brackets and the grand total came to right around $200. Here are some more pictures of the 12:31 mani that is being made for me.
