About to install new reman and wondered if i should remove the heat shield on the turbo side motor mount?

It gets in the way to access the turbo from the bottom and the the oil lines....but will removing it burn out my motor mount?

I kept mine...I tried to keep my single as close to a stock set-up as possible...things are there for a reason and Mazda had more R&D in the project than myself.

Plenty of people run without them, are you using solid poly_blahblah mounts?? I'd look at the specs of the material.

 

no just running stock...doesnt the air cool the mounts are the car is moving? (he he)
