more pictures on engine porting
who ported that, u or a "pro" shop?
they have overlapped the ports into the area the oil seal needs, be prepared to suffer oil leakage, then thru your plates away and get some more and get them ported by someone who DOES know what they are doing.

For the very marginal gain in port opening area (less than 5%)That porting is VERY bad practice!
It will result in excessive outer oil control ring wear due to excessive exposure to raw air fuel mixture, It will not provide any gain in flow due to port timming improvement as for a large majority of the time the extra area ported is covered by the rotor side...
It is a very stupid example of engine porting, I highly recommend not going into the oil control ring area. The performance gains are questionable at best (port does not open any earlier and does not close any later) and it will deteriorate oil control ring performance + make the engine more prone to blow by.
There are no good reasons I can see for doing this ?

Lucky you added that bit, I thought it was going to be on for a second there.
