Nice numbers!!

Have you considered stripping down a stock trans and getting the gears shot peened, and all parts including shafts cryoed? Adding a 5/8 thick plate/girdle between the case and bottom cover helps also.

I've "heard" that even with dowel pinning stock irons can show internal signs of "cracking" once you get North of 800 RWHP. Can anyone confirm or deny that rumor? Also, what's the "current" highest power output achieved by a turbocharged 13B REW?

Thx and congrats on some incredible numbers!

We just bolted in a TKO 600 into the FD road race car and the initial feedback was pretty awesome. Stock RX-7 gearboxes blow 3rd gear above 400 rwhp. With the green brothers adapter everything went together quite well. Seems like a great transmission option for higher HP cars who don't want to keep swapping stock gearboxes out.

Nice #'s. I too was running the 6766 on my rew before my 20b setup and i think its a great turbo for the price. I ran mine @ 35psi last time i had the rew in the car and it was stupid fast least to say. It would spin 5 gear rolling into boost @ 40mp, the power actually scared me and gave me a new found respect for high hp street machines.
Great to see some #'s as i remember we had almost the same setup and were one of few to get the 6766 when it first came out.

Thanks TrentO

If anyones interested, we've just finished our Tremec TKO remote shifter setups. These put the shifter in the stock FD and FC positions, plus a position in between if need be.

Should be approx 552cc of 50/50 at 25 & 738cc at 30psi all at 8000rpm, based on my experience.

Thank you for sharing your experience smg, gives motivation to keep boosting higher.

Absolutely awesome, I need to get off my *** and install my clutch. I've been slacking lately when it comes to the car. My last run on a mustang dyno and slipping clutch at 30psi was 615whp. The clutch pretty much went to crap at about 6500rpm. I'll do it within the next month or so and see how it does on the dyno again.

Btw, doweling does work. When I made 830rwhp on E85 the extra dowels Ray installed did the trick.

Just curious what kind and size of tires where being used for this. They are a great tool, very addicting

That's nice work. Everybody thinks they are so fast on the street, most don't have a clue what it really takes in a rwd car.

There is a science to it that is for sure

Cracking into the 4s with your setup is a good accomplishment, I know what it takes, good work

You are faster on the street than many cars with much more power

I am a turbo v8 FC with an auto. I run 26" 275 MT drag radials, they have been by far the best for me

I run a 3.27 rear gear.

Power deliver is the key for sure.I run an ams 1000 and ramp boost in slowly.

I could never crack 3 second 60-130 on the street, that is very much traction limited, I can usually put full power down by 110mph

All I do is test with it though

Trust me throw a box in the typical Fbody/camaro/mustang that say they have 1k HP and they will be running 6s lol

I made one pass at the track so traction under 100 not a problem, but not as much power in on top as I did on the street for the fast 100-150

And that was a 3.7 60-130 with a 3.6 100-150 to give u an idea

Vbox is within a tenth and 1mph always vs my track passes FYI

This is very true. When I was deep into the turbo M3 scene the fastest e46 M3 60-130 time I could find was 5.89 and that car had nearly 1000 rwhp. You guys are flying!

Yeah I have been around this stuff and following it for awhile, the OP is getting it done for sure.

I always thought they where a joke, until a friend with a ttg made me borrow it and I was totally sold, they are addicting

Until you use one you don't fully grasp how fast some of these cars like the TTg and GTR heavy hitters are

I didn't just go out and run my times, I had to test a lot to find what works, now that I know it is very repeatable but it definitely takes some work

You guys are flying, my 100-150 time was only 4.92 seconds. I logged mine with the ECU so I'm sure it's not accurate like the vbox.

Which vbox are you guys using? Is it the performance box?

yea using the performance box here. It is defiantly the best tools you can get to setup your car and test. my pulls were done on 35psi which is 650whp, no traction to do a full pull on 40psi. I picked up a set of hoosiers to see if they will do the trick and do a 3-4 pull again.

zbrown, whats she put down for power? and whats the setup? buddy of mine is doing a 4.8 v8 turbo in his 240sx

Its cool to find a guy that uses one. I use the sport box

I don't know what mine really makes. I don't make it to the track much but on 18psi it went 163mph at 3240lbs. To go 3.42 100-150 I was up around 23psi to give an idea

No incentive for track really when I have the box lol

It was a simple lsx setup, stock block, heads, crank, ecu, intake, with just rods and pistons, and a big turbo, I run e50

Here is an actual vid of it, the speedo lags a bit so it is a little goofy

At 30mph I arm the boost controller, it goes from 4psi to around 23psi by 110mph

Wow, beautiful setup. That's quite a snail you've got in there. Also love how far back the engine is positioned. Nice clean engine bay. Very nice work!

The Sport looks awesome with the GPS speedo, thanks for sharing the video. Might have to look into getting one now lol

Your car is a monster for sure, I've read some of your build thread (very long) and it's amazing the work you've done.

I'm not quite as fast as SMG but I'd guess you're up past 1000hp by now and it hooks up really well while we're both struggling at much less power lol. Any further plans on the car?
