max safe boost on T04B?

Probable been asked before but.....

I had no more power over 15psi. I thought all you do is loose efficiency past 15psi but still can make relative more power safely up to 18-19psi?

This is on an T04B 60-1 .96A/R .70trim 4?inlet 3?outlet.

Thanks.
Ian

that sounds more like a to4s, 4" in, 2.5" out, 60-1 wheel .7 ar
youre not gonna make much more power past 15-18 psi, the turbo just wont be able to flow enough air.

I personaly have run this turbo to 25~26psi on a 13BT making about 430rwhp on our crap Australian dyno's.

On my own vehilce I consistently ran 23psi making about 570bhp @ engine.

It will take thsi amount of boost no worries on a 13B street set up running around these power levels Great little turbo.

I thought I would gain some more power above its 15psi effiency range. Figure I would just heat the air alittle more with the added boost. It would sure be nice to squeeze a few more ponys out of her

I will need to run more boost to beat my friends KKK powered car

thanks,
Ian

Here is the compressor map for a to4b v trim
http://64.225.76.178/catalog/compmaps/fig7.html

Now if you go outside the little island on psi and stuff then there is no longer efficiency and then it is simply heating the air more... like over 15psi on the stock turbo for the FC.
So on a vtrim if you go pas 53.5 lb / min then you are no longer generating more charge air... simply heating it.

Ok. I still after all these years have not bothered to figure out on how to read these maps. The only reason I know that it's effiencey sweet spot is 15psi is because my friend eVilRotor told me

YOU need to get a life AND get that lagmachine fixed first.
And just remember that the SR KKK turbo doesn't even get warmed up till 18 psi

Between PR 1.7 and 2.0 (approx 10-15 psi according to the compressor map).
If you look at the Comp Map, at PR 2.0 (roughly 15 psig), the turbo should flow 40 lb/min (10 lb/min = roughly 100 hp).

How much power you make on the dyno again?

ok. In that case I should have more available power above 15psi.

How much hp did I make. More then you LOL

Ya I see what you mean. Maybe I can squeeze more power out of it once the turbo or whatever it is is fixed.

^ Sure you can squeeze out more power.

Maybe you should do your next dyno run with that buttplug in your exhaust...that would be fitting
