Right now im running a single setup im not really happy with since its the ebay turbo kit. im just using it to break in the motor and as a base for a big turbo upgrade. I was planning on either going with a t04r or the AF61. but for now i dont even have a boost controller so the spring is i think at 8 or 10 psi. Im going to be upgrading to the 1600cc secondaries when i get the bigger turbo.

But for now i have a powerfc and the stock injectors. Would it be safe for me to
get on boost a little and leave the rev limiter at like 5,400? or what maps should i get loaded, then would it be safe for the stock injectors to handle low boost? I just wanna start boosting a few lbs when i hit 1,500, instead of always looking like a Grandma is driving the car.

 

If I remember correctly your set up is similar to mine?

List your mods, I can give you some of my maps with many disclaimers as to “it’s not my fault if you pop your motor.” My map is rich as hell at the moment and could probably get you boosting.

Just let me know and I can bring my laptop tomorrow and up load you some datalogit files.

well is it possible to pop the motor on 10 psi at 5,400-5,500 rpm once the maps are loaded.

Do you have the datalogit? I would e-mail you a file and then you would load it though the datalogit to the PFC.

Yes you can blow your motor at 10psi with the incorrect timing and fuel.

My mods look very similar to yours. *edit* just noticed the stock injectors, that will hold us back. I don't have a map with stock 850s.

 

yeah...hmm instead of maps i should just get it street tunned by my engine builder for 10 psi til i can afford that af61. after seeing it compared to the t04s, it loooks mighty tasty haha

 

Why waste more money ona a tune. keep it under light load until you can afford your af61r and 1680's. Ron has a few maps worked out to get af cars close to where they should be.
