Manifold off Ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742

I know you get for what you pay but does anyone have any experience with the manifold?

It isn't equal length and it will make the turbo sit forward in the engine bay but it is 304 stainless and they say lifetime warranty against cracks.

i have one...its great quality. Depending on your turbo you may have trouble with the exhaust housing being to large and it will contact the intake manifold.
im putting a gt35r on mine friday i will post how it fits.

From what I know about it, it won't let you use a exhaust a/r bigger than .84 and I believe there was someone on the forum who had one, had it crack and was having a hard time getting that warranty to hold up..

Hmmm.. larger a/r wouldn't work because supporting weight or the size?

Size. I had to cut off, and re-weld the flange to get the .96 hotside to fit. Other than that it's a great manifold..

its a t4

mine fits great with a .84 hot side. I have maybe 1/2 inch clearance to the manifold.

I would have the flanges ground flat if I had it to do over(think I still might take it off and have it done). They are warped pretty badly.

the threads for the turbo flange are 3/8 course. I have some ARP header studs/nut/washers I bought...but had to buy 12...so I have some extra if you wanna buy 4 from me for 20 bucks shipped. the kit cost 60 bucks.

i was also looking at this manifold, it says its for a FD but does anyone know if it will fit the FC. My plan is to put it on the 13B RE that i have going in a few weeks. Also has anyone here ever tried the turbos that is listed as his other items. If so what are your opinions and results.

search for OBX and you will find a ton of info.

I have this manifold, and it does not fit with a 1.15 Ptrim.

even with a RB flange and two gaskets used as spacers.

I bought a laser cut t4 flange from ebay and I am having it welded on at a different angle. It should work well when its done.

I also have it and was able to just squeeze a 1.08 AR in there. I had to shave a few mm off the LIM. Very tight fit. Also I had the entire thing rewelded because the welds are too thin. I also had braces welded to it to help support the weight of the turbo.

i have that obx manifold that you see on ebay. it fits a FC just fine. but the holes were off a bit, so i had to redrill them a bit. also there were a few pin holes where they missed welding. also the tubing is pretty thin. i dont know how long it will hold up. just at idle it can start glowing red hot. i also have a a hks cast manifold on my SA , the cast manifold is way better.

cast is better, but tubular manifold make more power and better spool usually.

If I could have anything though, it would have to be a equal length inconel manifold.

naturally, cast stainless 321 would be the best manifold w/ readily available and 'affordable' products.

of course, Inconel would be the best of the best... but good luck affording $40,000 for an Equal length header... btw, Inconel is just a proprietary name for a specific alloy of stainless steel. so inconel is Still SS... just really good and really expensive SS>

The FD manifold will not work on the FC, the turbo hits the lower intake (be it OBX or SSAutoCrapper).

I would not trust that thin china **** on a honda (and they dont hold up on them for **** with little 14b's and ct28's), I damn sure wouldn't trust it on a rotary with significantly hotter egt's, top mount setup and *** welds with inferior materials.

I bet every time cx racing, obx or ssautoshit sells a manifold, they quietly say "sucker". You're not going to buy a new tubular stainless tig welded manifold of quality for that low a price. You're better off getting some sched 40 bends, t4 flange and rb flange and constructing your own for around the same price. You control turbo placement and sched 40 is thick as **** and WILL hold up if you can handle a mig/tig. You could probably even stick weld it if you're good enough.
