looking for sigle turbo.

I'm looking into single set up and was wondering about my idea. I'm thinking getting the XS T04E kit with 1600cc secondaries and the rest of the fuel stuff (FPR & FP). Also Greddy FMIC and PFC of course. What I'm wondering is, If I can get 400 rwhp with non-ported motor with this set up running 15-17PSI ? How is turbo lag with this turbo?

This is my second idea All of above but with a T-78 but don't know about primaries. Will I actually need to get a 3 row for this turbo?

Well.... stock ports play a big role in the spool of the T78... the t04e spools a little before 4k I believe and you could probably make it w/ that much boost... but remember old stock motors don't last long under more boost. The 3 row wouldn't be a bad idea for T78... cooler is better.
Good luck,
Ryker

T04E is a very small turbo. You're looking at quick spool up. You might as well look into getting a T04S turbo kit, they spool nice and quick along with producing big numbers.

Okay then some one help me out understand the port thing. From all the ports mods, which one is best for street driving and not be to hard on low end? I kind of drive this car everyday so far until I get in my new home.

You can put 500rwhp down with stock ports no problem.

i agree with resource...everything i have read about the to4e is that its to small. its more like a turbo that is meant as a direct replacement for the stock twinsetup. it doesnt really make more power the twins do, but you get the added simplicity of being single turbo. i would get a t04s or a rx6 if you wanted to stay in the 380-450 rwhp power range. either of these turbos would be nice for daily driving
