Large injectors less efficient??

A while back a respected RX7 owner posted this:

---It'll lose atomization with bigger injectors as you can ----see from my dyno chart before and after the injectors upgrade. It takes about 1.5psi more to get the same rwhp from my car. I was able to get 403rwhp@14.5psi on stock injectors but I can only get 400rwhp@16psi with the big injectors. This is just my theory but I could be wrong. Maybe somebody with better understanding on fluid dynamics can help explain this for us.

Can anyone add to this??
John
I posted to this forum because this is where most people run larger injectors.

At very low pulsewidths and everything else being equal (fuel rail pressure), the larger fuel injectors will be opening less, which means a "inferior" spray pattern.&nbsp I dunno what the guy was talking about if he means at WOT though - it really shouldn't matter.&nbsp About the only other thing that could be the culprit is the dwell time is longer due to the larger (and thus heavier) solenoid valve with the larger fuel injector.&nbsp You can compensate a bit by bumping up fuel rail pressure for all these "downsides".
