Is this kit any good?

I'm going to add on this with primary injectors, dual fuel pumps, Apexi FC commander and ECU, already got FMIC and aluminum radiaotors, car has standard dual oil coolers ... Its a Jap import FD 1994 by the way .. SO wonder if its worth me just getting this kit for cheap as I intially wanted GT40R but from all the threads I have gone through, the difference is not going to be much. The odd thing is that the seller says GT4088 is more duarble than the GT40R !!!

I have the GT4088 kit from rx7store.net and i love it. I saved a bunch of money over the ball bearing version and the spool is still pretty quick even with a 1.06 exhaust housing. I believe that the journal bearing turbos dont need a rebuild as often as the ball bearing ones do. I say go for it.

I must admit I'm so tempted as the difference in cost is huge. The GT40R kit is $2900 + shipping and that even doesn't include any of the extras included with that kit on ebay such as fuel injectors, fuel rail, BOV, fuel pressure reg, etc. The money I'm saving I can put towards Apexi FC commander and 2 walbro fuel pumps. Hell even the GT4088 kit from rx7store.net cost more for less items.

The guy is selling all his stuff appearntly cause he needs the money, that includes the his Rx7 as well.

Good for 700hp @ the flywheel, so as long as I can get 560+ rwhp it will do me.

I won the kit. Should be here in a day or two. Would the Apexi FC commander and ECU be up to the task of handling this turbo upgrade, fueling, boost, etc? Or would I need a different ECU?
