It took around 2 weeks to get this all back from coating. I don't remember the cost at all.
It was well worth it!

Actually, I am a high-end network consultant. I worked at a famous network company. I loved the work so much that I am still working - consulting.

Insulating the Turbo
I worked at the Allis-Chalmers diesel engine plant as an engine tester. We ran all new engines on bare-engine dynos for break-in and power settings. We produced some marine engines that required insulated exhaust manifolds and turbo housings. The engines ran AirResearch and Rajay turbos. I was told that the AirResearch turbos lasted longer since they used a labyrinth oil seal as opposed to Rajay's mechanical oil seal. However, in both cases, turbo life was reduced by holding in the heat. I would coat my exhaust manifold and piping and leave the turbo housing "au natural". Boost efficiency is easier to control with vane design/modification than with trying to retain more heat on the exhaust side of the turbo. Why set yourself up for a premature turbo failure? If you want more boost, just buy a bigger turbo or modify your BOV.
