Arrow It's A L I V E !!!

Muahahahaaa!!!!!

I just took the maiden voyage in my freshly ported and rebuilt and single turbo converted 93 R1! (all work by me of course!)

I drove it around for about 20 minutes with no hood... got some nice stares.

Anyhow, I did a street port and rebuild and also installed a PowerFC with an XS Eng T04S turbo kit. I've got the "other stuff" like a 3 inch open exhaust and stuff.

This thing sounds REAL MEAN. Wow. Mothers pull small children close as I approach... VRRRRRROOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I haven't even gone over about 3500 RPM and have put just about NO load on it... still sounds evil. I wonder what it will sound like the first time I go for some boost and the dump pipe off the wastegate kicks in? Hmm... I had better make nicey nice with the local coppers.

I did give it a TINY bit of gas to test the throttle response, and it doesn't feel laggy at all. I know it's way too early to tell for sure. Over the next few weeks I'll be breaking it in and will post more info about the performance of the T04S as I figure it out.

I'm doing the tuning on the PowerFC myself. I'm looking at getting a wideband O2 to do it. If that idea doesn't materialize, I'd probably go to KDRotary or something. I'd rather do it myself though.

Yeah I love it. It's not a 100% straight pipe... It has a Racing Beat muffler on there... but that thing is a "straight through" type of design, so it only quiets it a bit.

My 87 TII has the Racing Beat "full system" which is a downpipe/presilencer instead of cat/two mufflers. It is still loud, but not at the same level as the 93!
