You are going to need more fuel for sure. I have the same turbo in a supra and it runs like **** below 25lbs. It is tuned right now at 35.

well I got my tax return back and have got a little extra money. As of right now I cant even get the car to run above 2500 rpms. But I am taking it next weekend to Gotham racing and having them finish my project. I am going to let them install 2 fuel pumps. and some new injectors 1600 secondaries and 1000 primaries and install my water injection along with hks twin power. I will also have Steve tune it. For around 25 or higher on race fuel and then he said he can tune for 15 or so on pump gas. Not for sure how that **** works with out 2 different maps but ok. What do you guys think my rwhp will be? I will post dyno sheet.

25psi sounds about right. What octane pumpgas do you have available where you live? Here is MD we have up to 94, which kicks *** if you are single. You are going to **** your pants when you get that thing running. With the supra it doesn't get full boost til about 4,500 rpm, and then when that thing hits full boost, it is all grins from ear to ear. I was going about 85mph one time and downshifted to race from a roll and the car broke loose and fishtailed, and that is with drag radials. That turbo is so great. Some don't like turbo lag, but I actually prefer it so the turbo doesn't always have to be boosting like smaller singles or twins do while city driving.

sorry for not posting. I am running a hks gt wastegate. I cant wait to get it done. Its been about a year relly since i have it running real good. Parts have taken for ever to get and then me trying to find time to install them between work and school. I am going to take it down to gotham racing this weekend. Let them finish it up since i got my tax return back. Oh and on the gas thing there is only 91 oct around here. I can drive about 30 min and get 93 or c16 so i am going to have the tune for 91 and c16 when i want to run it.

Just reading this to how did it all go?

Cant believe the octane level of your fuel over there. Our standard fuel is 95 and shell Optimax (top pump gas) is 98, and please stop complaining about your fuel prices, lol we pay the equivalent of $9 - 10 per gallon and thats for the 98 octane stuff, about 80% of that goes to the thieving government. Race gas, I`d have to rob a bank, lol

98 my ***! we get shitty 91 at 8 usd per gallon!! WI is a must dual stage for constant use.

race gas... nevermind on c16.... it costs an eye! that is nearly 25-30 usd per gallon!

lol at least you guys get to choose fuel... we are stuck with a fuel monopoly and a shitty government who has added a fuel surcharge of 67.5% on all domestics fuels... ie for electricty and stuff.

we get to choose from... green red or blue...unleaded/ lead replacement petrol/diesel respectivly....

it sure sucks being here trust me.....

I`m not joking.... Esso Super unleaded 97. Shell, Optimax 98. BP, Ultimate 97. One of our Supermarkets has just started to stock 99 octane but the magazines have done some research and the Shell fuel is the best

regular fuel is between 93 - 95.

You'll have to say our fuel is 98 RON not octane, cos its a different thing. And anyway there are rumors that shell are bringing 100 RON fuel to the Uk soon, they have it in German now.

crappy gas?

no problem. just run 100% methanol thru an auxiliary injection system. the guy i work w runs a 3850 pound car w a stock block Buick turbo V6 (237 cu in 3.6 liters) in the low 10s at 140 something mph...

he is an electrical engineer and has been using his own progressive controller, all his lines are aeroquip w brass fittings and he spends a long time completely going thru the pump including benchtesting. he has over 1100 of his systems in service.

his website is purposely a bit vague on a few proprietary issues but does have a nice FAQ section. if you really want to get into it, go to turbobuicks website and read the over 60 pages of threads dating back a number of years. if you do this you will know whom to deal w.

Julio Don Alkycontrol.com

excuse my brief hijack but i thought the above might be helpful. that said, what the heck did happen re the T51 dyno session a year ago?

UK fuel & US fuel is basically the same. There is a difference in how the octane rating is calculated for pump fuel between the two countries.
Our 98 octane is the smae as U.S 93-94 octane.
