I'm not trying to harp on anyone here. I'm trying to save you money and time. If I had permission I would tell you a nice story about Precision turbos, though I can't. I'm not trying to start a pissing competition but I have a lot of experience with with turbo's of all brands. I'm not someone that's bias and sticking to something that I only have experience with.
I don't care if I could get a billet setup for $600. Their quality is equivalent to ebay; this isn't an opinion of mine just a direct observation in person with more than one unit. You wanted advice, I'm giving it to you. If want AR advice I'll simply say go with something in the .8-.9 range.

I told my buddy to go ahead with the order but I'm honestly going to be calling him tomorrow and having a chat with him about possibly cancelling the order. I typed "precision turbo sucks" and got a million pages of people talking about exactly what I wrote. Lots of threads with lots of people posting about lots of friends with lots of fried turbos.. Seeing as I'll be fabbing a vband to go with my downpipe and I need to get this fkin build DONE already, I might be taking some people's advice in here. I have some other friends that I can get stuff for cheaper then online... Borg warner and Garett mostly..

Another important detail that you left out was if you were using AI? FMIC with piping length? Amount of boost you want to run? ALL of this plays a large role in turbo threshold and system efficiency.
On pump gas only, you are going to have to oversize slightly due to a boost limit. But with water injection you can undersize and run a bit more boost.
AI - Ball bearing T04E, .82 ar with preturbo water injection. This would be one zippy bastard at 20 psi. Should hit high 300's and spool your face off. http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=GTB
Pump only - GT35R, T3, 1.06ar. Should see around 370-400whp on 15psi with a ported S5 block. I see 15psi by 3600rpm. Awesome street turbo. http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=GRT

Alright, I have a guy offering me a Garett gt35r .82 for roughly 1200 shipped.. I know that these are supposed to be top shelf(although old technology) and alot of guys use them on the Fd... What I was wondering is if it would be the right choice for my setup now.. Anybody use this on a t2????
