Question innovative GT66 DBB

QUICK QUESTION....What difference does trim make...???

I am going all out with a Inn. GT66 DBB...what would the difference between a p-trim and q-trim be?? Does anyone have any feedback regarding this TURBO??? TIMES? RWHP ##???

PS I did a search and most results were from people starting a GT66 project...non finished...

So any input on your results with a inn.GT66DBB would be appreiciated.

!!! 2 !!!
HOW DOES THAT EBAY MANIFOLD HOLD UP FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT USE IT???? IS IT A QUALITY PRODUCT??

Thanks in advance.

If you're spending $1900 on a turbo, I'd consider getting a much better manifold than the Ebay piece of crap. Sure it's ok for the money but you'd be better off with an XS cast, HKS tubular, etc...

i have this turbo on my car in a q-trim....it's pretty damn sweet...no dyno #'s yet, we ran into some fuel pressure issues and i have installed a second fuel pump, one for each rail......we are looking to make 500ish @ 20psi on the race gas, should not be a problem, gonna try and tune to about 27 psi when all said and done..

And a quote from the 3rd thread I posted the link to:

The smaller trim the quicker spool.............O being quickest spooler and Q being slowest. (or R trim being the slowest, remeber, R trim isn't widely used, its not a common Garrett part but is exclusive to an other manufacturer)

The smaller turbine trim the more restriction (back pressure) and the less ultimate power being made. Again, o being less power then the big Q (or R trim).

So the p trim will spool faster then the q, the q making more power on top.

The GTQ being the ultimate if you have the money for the new GT series turbos, flow like a Q and spool like a P.

Just noticed you are from Edmonton. For quality advice and parts you can talk to Sven (owner/operator) at NRS Rotorsports.
