Hmm, I'm surprised the 60-1 is less efficient. Is that chart with a stock port? Do you have one comparing the T04S? I guess the 62-1 is a btter chioce over the 60-1.

Starting the chart at 4500 rpm is appropriate for the T66, I suspect you could have started the 60-1 chart at 3500 rpm where it's near full boost. Big difference in spool between these two turbos, my T66 usually reaches full boost by 4000 rpm. I do get significant boost as low as 3000 rpm but the turbo really starts to pull at 4k and up.

as you can see, at lower boost levels the 60-1 is a better choice - higher efficiency at 12.495 PSI.
Is the innovative GT66 just a ball-bearing version of the T66? Are the compressor and turbine wheels the same? T66 is even more efficient at higher boost than 16 psi...

GoRacer - There are a lot of guesstimates used here, but 90% VE should be pretty close for a stock port with a large turbo I think. I have never seen a map for the T04S - if you find one, please let me know
twokrx7 - I have a 60-1 on my car, and it doesn't hit full boost until 5000rpm with a .96 A/R hotside. Looking at many dyno charts online (the torque curves in particular), I have not seen evidence of any large T4 frame turbo hitting full boost until about 4k at the earliest, and most seem to be between 4500 and 5000rpm. At 3500rpm I was only able to make a few psi of boost (maybe 4-5 psi IIRC).
I believe the GT66 is very close to the T66, but I wasn't able to find a map for it. If anybody has a compressor map for the T66, I'd like to run the numbers on that too. As far as boost>16psi goes, most people stay under this level on pump gas, and it's obvious that the T66 will do better up there.

Anyone know where to find a map for a T04R?

T04S is the same thing as a 60-1 usually. T04S refers to the housing (.7 A/R 4" inlet, 2.5" disscharge). The TS04 (smallest of the big shaft "T" series) is NOT the same turbo (not the same as a 60-1 or T04S) and although will work on a rotary, its not too recommended. Its more suited to lower flowing higher boost application.

The TS04 map that I posted before is a map that came off of Turbonetics old site. I believe that the TS04 is commonly known to be the same thing as the T04S, T58 and T04S04. The map in this post is a 60-1, clearly not the same as the TS04 map.
The TS04 compressor wheel that goes along with the previous map has a 2.300" inducer and a 3.304" major. Does that conform to the T04S wheels specs that you are familiar with?

TS04 is commonly mistaked as the T04S, its a simple switch of one letter, but its NOT commonly known as the T04S. The T04S like I said is really the name for the compressor housing (.7 A/R 4" inlet 2.5" disscharge). This housing is standard for the 60-1, T-58 compressor wheels. Its also used on GT35 and some times GT30 (CHEAPTURBOS.COM). The 60-1 is just offten refered as the T04S because of this. All the turbo kits available for the rotary that are labeled "T04S" are the 60-1 wheel (Innovative, XS, etc). I've always known the TS04 as simply a TS04. Its a big shaft and the smallest of the "T" series line. It has a fairly tall and narrow map and the T04S (60-1) will out flow it and is more suited for a 13b ported or not. I guess its gotten cunfussed in all the turbo buzz words and lingo, but if someone is looking to use the 60-1 wheel, they should ask for the T04S and NOT the TS04, or they'll be dissapointed.
