You're not the first person to be in your situation. However, if you're looking for reliability I don't think any amount of rubber parts are going to be what you're looking for. Might as well use spit and bubblegum IMHO.
I haven't made these in a little while but I have the dimensions on the bottom of the page. These are what others are referring you to use. Find someone with a lathe, bring him these dimensions and have them turn you a pair. I may have a few pairs sitting around if you can't find someone. I know that Jason sells them through the rx7store.net and so does KGParts.

Thank you for that link. It cleared up a lot of the confusion I was having on how to use those spacers. I'll post pictures as soon as I get all my parts in.
