Initial Start Up
Initial Start Up
I just went to a T04Z setup and was wondering if it was safe to start the car even though it hasen't been tuned yet. I know not to drive it around but I want to check for leaks or any kind of problems upon the start up, so that when I get it tuned, there's no problem.
Do you have a proper map in there? At least get a map from a reliable source and just drive on it. Do not boost it by any means. You cannot blow a motor if you dont boost it.
I know I don't have the proper map on the PFC. It was tuned for the non-seq. setup with the stock turbos @ 12psi.
I guess my question is, "Is this current map stable enough to start the car?" I just want to make sure I'm not leaking fuel from my new setup.
As for getting a new map to put on it, I don't have a datalogic. I guess I can try to find someone in this area that may have one if it is absolutely necessary.

^yup, what he said. You can let the car idle and warm up, provided you're running the same primaries. Might not be a bad idea to leave the filter off the turbo for initial startup to make sure it's spinning freely at idle.
