info on old style greddy fmic

I am getting my GT40r soon and was curious about my intercooler capabilities. I have the old style greddy FMIC that doesn't fill up the whole front end and sits back a little. I bought this a long time ago (99) and do not know the specs on this thing. I have tried searching but can not find much either.

I would like to know how many rows it is, how it compares to the newer models, what its effeciency is and what psi it is good for. I plan on running around 15 psi max as this will be a street car. I also live in FL so the extra room around the intercooler helps for cooling the radiator.

Just wanted to get some #'s to crunch.

Pretty sure Ari used this IC to 600 rwhp. I made 380 with it through a T-66 with pretty cool charge temps. Its a 3 row.

I have the same one.. Not too much data on it but it keeps the temps nice and cool nearly all the time.. I really like it so far.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling it was up to the task. Just better safe than sorry.

With all the new bling bling stuff out there it is nice to know the old stuff still carries a big stick.

And remember when everyone said you would have cooling issues using this IC?

I have this IC as well. I like it alot and had it with my old set-up and the new T70 turbonetics going in.( As soon as Mazda makes some engines!)

The only other IC i am going to use will be a V-mount once i get on the track more if the temps go up after long spirited runs. But we will have to wait for my info on that. However I know that JDhuegel1's temps are almost too low.( Don't think he has been on the road courses all that much though. I let him chime in on that.

Haha I know.. "Dude, you're going to overheat!"

I haven't ran it too bad yet, but I plan on it. Just have to do some more tuning.. I have done some hard highway runs with the fans off and temps did not climb at all.
