Idle Control Solenoid
has anyone seen a bad idle control solenoid ISC (it passes the ohm test).
my idle hunts badly when the isc is connected. I am using a PFC and t04s setup. I have tried the air screw changes in preveous threds.
any advice...

The valve itself can be dirty. Take it off and emerse the valve end in a mild solvant and alternately apply 6 or 12volts as to cause it to cylce. My cheap battery charger will make it buss (open and close quickly) because the DC is badly filtered and is rippling/pulsing instead of being pure DC.
Did you also try adjusting the mechanical throttle set screw? TOO MUCH air at idle is your problem. Also need to reset the PFC in between major setting changes, and best to restart the engine from cold for the PFC to relearn from cold to warm.

My idle hunts badly now, by spraying carb cleaner around different places I've diagnosed it as a blown lower air intake gasket. (Gasket between Lower Intake Manifold and block). $30 gasket, 6 hour job to replace it. urg - think I'll wait till my new engine gets here (a few weeks).
