I put the single turbo on and my FD blew up! what's up with that???

just kidding

I just needed some fast attention to the thread, anaway

i want to put a single turbo on an FD, and i found a turbocharger kit at XS engineering for the FD, it comes with the T04S turbocharger, i was wondering later on can i change the turbocharger, not the kit itself but just the turbocharger, i was thinking of going with 400 something hp, and then getting another turbocharger, not the kit to go to about 600hp it will be on the 13b engine Mazda reman, so can i change the turbocharger without buying another turbocharger kit?? I know about the other stuff, i will also do other upgrades too. , so can it be done, and is the XS engineering turbocharger kit for the FD good???, and is it street legal???

sorry to scare you with the FD blowing up stuff, i know how much an FD means to you guys.

thanks for the answers in advance!

Yes you can change out turbos,I think that t04s can go up to 600 you might be pushing it but I'm sure it will go that high..........

With lots of boost......

Take it one step at a time, dont expect to throw on a turbo and throw down 600 hp cause its not gonna happen.....do some research and take your time.

so with other mods should help the turbocharger to go up to 600, i will definetly get a ecu, big injectore, fuel pump, but is the XS engineering turbocharger kit any good?????, do i have to replace any piping when i go to a bigger turbocharger from XS engineering, like the T04S2???????

man you got alot to learn abt a fd b4 you even think of a single turbo upgrade
#1 it isnt cheap to go from twins to single you looking @ 10k to do it right
#2 a mazda raman is a pos..if you ever think of runnin a single on it you should be bitch slapped...a heavy street port is a must....400 can be done on stock ports but 600 your trippin....ari last i read was only making 590 and running 9's so your outa your leauge even thinkin 600

xs has started design on a t04x setup for fd wich makes 600@ the wheels

xs's kits are complete to match up with stock piping..but they will need custom piping to match up to an after market ic..ie fmic

It is definitely not street legal in your state. It will involve removing your air pump, EGR valve, and precat.

thanks for the reply guys, i decided i won't get the FD or the single turbo, the FD has a hard time passing emissions stock, in my state, plus i heard that the rx8 has the emission problem solved, but i don't like the car, so i decided to wait for the 4gen since the emission problem should be fixed on the 4gen. and the car will be more reliable and better looking then the 3gen. so i will get the 4th gen, thanks for your responses

So you dont even currently HAVE an FD?

And your gonna wait and get the 4th gen Rx-7? riiiiiight. Unless the Rx-8 triggers a massive rotory revival and the new Nissan 350z is selling like hotcakes, I wouldnt be holding out for a 4th gen.

Not to mention the pricetag (~45k)
