Guy's, I have heard all the good and bad stuff., So I really just want to here from people who are running singles with the greddy2 and 3 row, apex on such. I really do not want to spend more than $1200-1500. So what are your suggestion's? Will not be running more than 16-18psi...(for now)....

I also say the Greddy 3 row...I went with the 2 row a while back and it cost around 1100 with the elbow....It's supposed to be efficient at 15psi althought I know there are others running more though it. I plan to run about 17psi through it with the GT34r. If you have the bucks to do the 3 row then that's what I would do. Not sure what the efficiency rating is on this one but it will be higher than the 2 row when you get ready to push more boost.

Any one have pics of 3 row installed? Will I have to trim front bumper? Trim mouth opening (were fog lights are)? Or should I just do the 2 row? (looking to run 16-18psi max for now on gt40r kit..

The PTE mid size one. It's efficient up to 600 whp and it's only 500 bucks with end tanks. Then piping and BOV may run you an extra 400 bucks. Putting you at a total of 900 bucks with the rest of the money you can use it mod your 7 in other ways.

You need to trim the bumper alot for both the greddy 2 and 3 row. More so for the three row. The three row is more difficult to install, especially if you are keeping a/c. It can be done though. Just did one the other week. I run the 2 row R-spec on mine. Has a different core design than the more common V-spec. The V is designed for stock twins to reduce pressure drop and help spool up. The Apexi is nice but it sits so far back that you can't see it as well in the mouth of the bumper. The intercooler that I really want to get is made by RPM in New Zealand. Its probably bigger than the 3 row. That or I am going to go custom.

I do not plan on removing the ac... Is there other choices? What can be expected out of the 2 row r-spec in boost levels?

Blitz makes a nice FMIC as well. I will still use this opportunity to mention the Rotary Extreme V-mount setup. That is the way to go!!!! Just my .02 though, take it however you like.

Both the 3 row and 2 row intercoolers are identical installs. Its a time consuming install if you have never done it before, but not to bad.
I have been using Greddy front mounts for 6 years and really like them. The 2 row is plenty for 16-18lbs of boost.

i have an a'pexi and a t78. boost has never been over 16psi, but air temp is always good and never goes very high, and when it does go up, it comes down pretty quickly. i got it because it was easy to install and it kinda hides itself. plus it flows quite a lot of cfm. most people think it's a tiny intercooler until they see how thick it is

The v-mount is way overpriced in my opinion. $2800! It shouldn't cost more than 2 grand. That and I have yet to see it perform better than a front mount with proper ducting to the radiator. All the v-mounts I see don't even have a duct to the intercooler so a good portion of the air comming through the mouth of the bumper is going to bypass it.

My thought were the same on the v-mount. Saw a few at RR this year. Seems like a great idea but the price..wow! Almost as much as my turbo kit.. I guess the boat I am in is that I do not want to pull the IC back out again if I decide to run big boost. For now and hopefully the motor will last I do not plan on running more than 16-18 max of boost. Other conserns are keeping the AC, being able to use smaller battery up front and not destroying the front of the car for a install.

Every kit seems to have a down side that I have found. I can get a greddy 3 row (unpolished) for $1285 with elbow shipped. So if the install is the same as 2 row and no more cutting is required than that seems like my best choice, right?

All 3 rows are polished unless you are getting one of the old style that sits farther back in the engine bay.

hmm not sure. Just make sure they are the real deal. I know that the Greddy 3 row is on backorder order right now. Ask him what the part number is.

Non of the 2 rows come polished. They are a brushed aluminum.
