Hybrid or Full upgrade?

Here's the Situation... I've got an FB that is currently undergoing a s4 t2 swap. The engine runs great (so far) and now that i've let it warm up a couple of times, i've noticed that the stock turbo (j-spec) is having quite a bit of shaft play.... This comming week, i would be starting the piping for my FMIC, however im thinking that maybe i should just replace the turbo now before my intercooler/exhaust piping is made...
I've considered going 2 routes...Either a BNR stage 3, or some full upgrade however, im not sure what would suit my application.

As it sits, I've got:
Stock port motor
550cc Primary/680cc secondary injectors
Hypertech fuel pump (good for 500hp)
Fuel cell w/ 6-an feed and return lines
FMIC
Turbo XS Bov
Microtech LT8
T2 tranny
3 1/4" exhaust (someone gave me this pipe, thats why its so large)

i would like to have somthing along the lines of 350-450hp, but the only thing is , with the BNR, i know its a straight bolt it, and w/ a full upgraded turbo, i would need a new manifold, wastegate, bigger injectors, FPR?

Any ideas on a turbo that would suit my needs? this is going to be a daily driver for the summer.

most people seem to tell me that i might aswell take full advantage of the microtech and just go to a full upgraded turbo...

Any input is great!

you are correct as to making your turbo job#1 as shaft play inevitably leads to turbo failure and then you have to rip everything apart again and fix it anyway.

i suggest you call KevinDraper at Majestic Turbo in Waco Tx. just tell Kevin your situation and listen to his advice. he knows rotaries, having built the three turbos for Racing Beat's 20b FC that ran above 300 mph on the salt. he also does alot of non GT turbos that run really well and are inexpensive.

kevin's numbers: 800 231 5566 254 757 3759 kturbo@sprynet.com (not sure if he still uses this so if you don't get an answer call him )..

good luck,
