Question hurley swing tip apex seals

anyone know anything about the hme swing tip seals? seems like they would be great for reducing friction, less wear on rotor housing, and better seal.

I was of the impression they were designed to seal as well as possible in worn housings, a bit of a crutch rather than a performance part.

If they seal so well on a worn housing, wouldn't they seal even better on a housing that isn't worn? On a housing in good condition, do they seal better than stock or hurley 2 pc. seals? Why isn't it for performance, what are the drawbacks?

I am not qualified to say, being a rotary newbie, but MAYBE the material is softer to effect a better and quicker seal on a worn housing at the expense of longevity, or at the expense of high reliability at elevated chamber pressures and temps. (Just guessing). Ask Hurley Engineering? Anyone else, with more seal knowledge care to comment?
