HP vs drivetrain
I basically have one stupid question. I have a t2 motor with tranny and stock clutch in a Gsl-se. Now the drivetrain with exception to the custom driveshaft is stock. I obviously can't launch the car right now because I have a BW s361 with all supporting mods (hoping to get to 400whp). I am running 4 psi spring right now. I have 14 psi spring waiting to go in. Car is already faster than I imagined on a rough/very rich tune. I know the stock t2 clutch cannot take much torque. Basically my question is do insufficient clutches only slip during launch or would they even slip on a 3rd and 4th gear pull?? thanks

I've seen overpowered clutches slip from a roll on other cars, but those were piston motors with a lot more torque. If I could guess you would need at least 280-300rwtq for it to slip from a roll, maybe more. Which means probably 350 rwhp, maybe maybe a little less. I've personally seen the stock T2 clutch hold from a roll on a 250rwtq car.
